Sprinto: free SOF Olympiad practice for IMO, ISO and IEO
Sprinto is a free web app for practising the SOF Olympiad papers — maths (IMO), science (ISO) and English (IEO) — for children in Classes 1 to 7. It feels like an island map: one island per chapter. Tap one, answer a question, watch it light up. The questions are made fresh every time, so nothing is ever learnt by heart.
Free, always · works offline on the iPad · Classes 1 to 7
Three exams, one island map
Every exam is set the way SOF sets it: the same sections, the same marks, the same hour.
Maths
IMONumbers, shapes, money, time, patterns — and the reasoning questions the paper always ends on.
Science
ISOPlants, animals, our body, food, weather, light and sound, with diagrams drawn to scale.
English
IEOWords, spellings, idioms and proverbs, gap-fills and real reading passages.
Classes 1 to 4 sit 35 questions for 40 marks · Classes 5 to 7 sit 50 for 60. Paper pattern, syllabus and sample questions for every exam.
Four ways to practise
1.Warm up
Five quick questions to start the day, picked to be just hard enough.
2.Fix it
Anything she gets wrong comes back — a few days later, then a week, then a month.
3.Mock test
A full paper against the clock, marked the moment she hands it in.
4.On paper
Print a real paper and an OMR sheet, sit it at the table, type the answers in after.
Something to collect
The child sees stars, streaks and badges. The rating that decides how hard the next question is stays where it belongs — on the parent's dashboard.
Points and levels
They only ever go up. Every answer earns some; a right one earns more.
A daily streak
Come back tomorrow and the flame grows. Miss a day and it waits for you.
39 badges
For a perfect ten, a hard question cracked, a whole island finished.
First, pick a face
The grown-up signs in once. After that the child just taps her own face — no password, no email, nothing to remember.
Questions parents ask
- Which Olympiad exams does Sprinto cover?
- All three SOF paper subjects: the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), the International Science Olympiad (ISO — the exam SOF renamed from NSO for the 2026-27 session) and the International English Olympiad (IEO). All three run at every class from 1 to 7 — twenty-one papers, each with its own syllabus and its own question bank.
- How is a SOF Olympiad paper set out?
- Classes 1 to 4 sit 35 questions for 40 marks in 60 minutes; Classes 5, 6 and 7 sit 50 questions for 60 marks in the same hour. The last five questions are the Achievers Section, worth 2 marks each up to Class 4 and 3 marks from Class 5 upwards. IMO runs Logical Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Everyday Mathematics and Achievers; ISO runs Logical Reasoning, Science and Achievers; IEO runs Word and Structure Knowledge, Reading, Spoken and Written Expression and Achievers. Sprinto sets every practice paper to the same shape.
- Are the questions copied from past papers?
- No. Every question is generated from a template — more than 1,800 of them — so the numbers, names and figures are new each time and nothing can be learnt by heart. Past papers were read for the kinds of question they ask, and each kind became a generator; no copyrighted question is reproduced.
- How does it decide what to ask next?
- Each child carries a hidden rating per chapter and every question carries a difficulty from 1 to 5, so she is asked what is just hard enough for her today. Anything she gets wrong comes back on a spaced schedule — a few days later, then a week, then a month — until it stops being a mistake.
- Does my child need an account or a password?
- No. A parent signs in once with Google, then the child taps her own face on the profile picker. She has no email, no password and nothing to remember. Her rating and her mistakes stay on the parent's dashboard; she sees points, streaks and badges.
- Can we practise on paper, the way the real exam is sat?
- Yes. Sprinto prints a full paper with a matching OMR answer sheet. The child sits it at the table with a pencil, and you type the answers in afterwards — it is then marked and folded into her progress like any other attempt.
- What does Sprinto cost?
- Nothing. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. It was built for one child preparing for her Olympiads and shared with her friends.
- Does it work on an iPad, and offline?
- Yes. Sprinto installs to the home screen of an iPad, phone or laptop as a web app, and the app itself opens offline. Marking a live practice question needs a connection, because answers are checked on the server and never sent to the device.
Who built this
Sprinto is built and run by Krishna Kammaje, a parent who writes software. It started as one Class-2 child's practice app for her maths and science Olympiads, and now sets the papers for two friends' children too, English included. Every exam runs off the same engine.
The questions are not copied from past papers. Past papers were read for the kinds of question they ask, and each kind became a generator that makes a new question every time, with its figure drawn fresh. Answers are checked on the server and never sent to the device, so a paper cannot be marked by reading the page source.
It is free, carries no advertising and sells nothing. It is not affiliated with the Science Olympiad Foundation. Questions, corrections or a child who found a question wrong: the contact address is on the privacy page.
