SOF Olympiad exams: paper pattern and syllabus, Classes 1 to 7
The Science Olympiad Foundation sets three paper Olympiads that Sprinto prepares for: the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), the International Science Olympiad (ISO) and the International English Olympiad (IEO). Each runs at every class from 1 to 7 — twenty-one papers. Pick one below for its sections, marks, chapters and sample questions.
How a SOF paper is set out
Two shapes, and the class decides which. Every paper lasts 60 minutes, every question has four options, and the last five questions are the Achievers Section — the same syllabus, asked harder, for more marks.
| Classes | Questions | Marks | Achievers, marks each | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4 | 35 | 40 | 2 | 60 min |
| 5 to 7 | 50 | 60 | 3 | 60 min |

ISO is the new name for NSO
From the 2026-27 session SOF renamed the National Science Olympiad (NSO) the International Science Olympiad (ISO). It is the same exam with the same shape: Logical Reasoning, Science and the Achievers Section. Papers and results now say ISO; older books, past papers and school circulars still say NSO.
