  1. 1. (D)

The pattern repeats every 2 shapes — star, heart — over and over. After the heart, it starts again with the star.

  2. 2. (C)

Each shape is a little smaller than the one before, so the next one is the smallest of all.

  3. 3. (D)

V, A, M are all written with straight lines only. P needs a curved line, so it is the odd one out.

  4. 4. (D)

    Each number goes up by 5. 38 + 5 = 43.

  5. 5. (D)

The series goes circle, circle, octagon and repeats. Counting on from the last one, a circle comes next.

  6. 6. (A)

There are 18 candies. 6 groups of 3 make 18, so 6 groups can be formed.

  7. 7. (B)

Each step turns the shape a quarter turn clockwise. Keep turning it the same way.

  8. 8. (B)

We use a measuring jar to find out how much juice is in a bottle.

  9. 9. (B)

A mirror swaps left and right but leaves top and bottom alone. The right answer is the figure flipped sideways, not turned upside down.

  10. 10. (D)

Put them in order from tallest to shortest: Meera, Diya, Reyansh, Aarav, Anaya. So the second shortest is Aarav.

  11. 11. (A)

The pattern repeats every 2 shapes — triangle, hexagon — over and over. After the hexagon, it starts again with the triangle.

  12. 12. (A)

Point at each one as you count from the right. The star is the third one.

  13. 13. (C)

    1 × ₹100 = ₹100, and 4 × ₹5 = ₹20. Together that is ₹120.

  14. 14. (D)

    28 + 6 = 34. The answer is bigger, by adding.

  15. 15. (B)

All six faces of a cube are squares.

  16. 16. (D)

    Add up each set. ₹20 + ₹20 + ₹10 + ₹5 + ₹2 = ₹57. Each of the others comes to a different amount.

  17. 17. (A)

    A cylinder has 2 edges.

  18. 18. (D)

A big flat is a hundred, a long rod is a ten and a small cube is a one. 1 hundred, 2 tens and 3 ones make 123.

  19. 19. (B)

    This shape is a square.

  20. 20. (C)

    Add every row: 5 + 4 + 2 + 6 = 17.

  21. 21. (D)

    Diya has 2 and Aarav has 8. 2 + 8 = 10.

  22. 22. (A)

A football is shaped like a sphere.

  23. 23. (B)

    Diya is number 7. The children behind are numbers 8 to 10: 10 − 7 = 3.

  24. 24. (A)

    1 box of 100 is 100, 3 packets of 10 is 30, and there are 7 loose. 100 + 30 + 7 = 137.

  25. 25. (C)

Find the 8th on the calendar and go straight up its column to the top. It sits under Sat, so it is Saturday.

  26. 26. (D)

    Add the rows: 12 + 11 + 7 + 14 = 44.

  27. 27. (C)

    A hen has 2 legs and a dog has 4. 2 × 2 = 4 and 4 × 4 = 16. 4 + 16 = 20.

  28. 28. (A)

    47 + 37 = 84.

  29. 29. (A)

From 2:45 to 3:30: count on the whole hours first, then the minutes. That is 45 minutes.

  30. 30. (B)

    Thursday has 4 pictures, so 4 balloons were sold. 4 × ₹10 = ₹40.

  31. 31. (A)

Really it is a bed that is used for sleeping on — but a bed has been given the new name a chair, so the answer is a chair.

  32. 32. (B)

Read the long hand for the minutes and the short hand for the hour. P is 6:40 on clock 1, Q is 8:30 on clock 3, R is 4:30 on clock 2.

  33. 33. (B)

The picture has 3 horizontal lines, 3 vertical lines, 4 slanting lines and 0 curved lines. Only (B) is true.

  34. 34. (A)

    Each picture is 2, so Pink has 1 × 2 = 2, Blue has 3 × 2 = 6, Green has 4 × 2 = 8, Yellow has 5 × 2 = 10. "Blue has 2 more than Pink." is the only one that is wrong.

  35. 35. (C)

    Scale 1: take 5 kg off both sides, so 1 box = 11 − 5 = 6 kg. Scale 2: 2 boxes = 2 × 6 = 12 kg.

About this mock test

Is this IMO Class 2 mock test really free, with no login?
Yes. The whole paper is on this page: no account, no sign-up, no phone number and no ads. Nothing your child answers here is sent anywhere or stored.
How is it marked?
The same way as the SOF paper: Logical Reasoning 1 mark a question, Mathematical Reasoning 1 mark a question, Everyday Mathematics 1 mark a question, Achievers Section 2 marks a question, 40 marks in all. Press Finish and mark to see the score by section and the right answer, with an explanation, under every question.
Can I print it?
Yes. Print paper + OMR sheet lays it out like the real paper, with a bubble sheet and the answer key on its own last page so it can be set aside. Choose Save as PDF in the print dialog to keep a copy.
Is it the same as the real IMO paper?
It has the real paper's shape — 35 questions, the same sections in the same order, the same marks and the same 60 minutes — and its questions come from the IMO Class 2 syllabus. The questions are Sprinto's own, not SOF's; Sprinto is not affiliated with the Science Olympiad Foundation.

Fresh questions every time

This paper stays the same so it can be printed and shared. In the app every IMO Class 2 question is new, the next one is picked to be just hard enough, and mistakes come back until they stick. Still free.
